Do you live in Metro Vancouver? If so, you’ll be receiving your ballot this week for the transit referendum. I’d like to add my 2 cents to the plethora of opinions and urge you to vote YES.
I know it’s going to mean more taxes, but have you walked outside and taken a deep breath lately? I cannot believe the smell of carbon monoxide that now permeates our beautiful city. More public transit is one of the ways to reduce smog.
Worried about Translink managing all this? So was I, until Jimmy Pattison was appointed head of a new committee that will oversee the spending of all monies raised by the new tax. And, he’s doing this for free.
Sick and tired of traffic congestion? Without new transit it’s only going to get worse as the population of Metro Vancouver increases substantially over the next 15 years.
